Bank of Scotland Foundation - Volunteering Grants Programme

One-off grants of up to £20,000 will be provided to five charities in Scotland that aim to engage additional volunteers in new or existing projects. Read more

The West of Scotland LGBT Forum is an umbrella organisation which brings together organisations, groups and individuals representing lesbians, gay men, bisexual and transgender people in the West of Scotland to provide opportunities for networking, information exchange, cooperation, coordination and in appropriate cases collective representation and action. Community Support for Stalled Spaces

Glasgow City Council in partnership with Glasgow Housing Association is seeking to assist community groups/organisations to utilise and regenerate land within their communities which currently has no function. Grants can range from £1,000 to £2,500. Read more

Climate Challenge Fund

Two east end projects have been successful in Round 10 of the Scottish Government's Climate Challenge Fund. Read more

Communities and Families Fund

This new fund will support local projects that help families and communities give children the best start in life. Grants are one-off and can be for between £250 and £10,000. Read more

VAF Community Grants Programme

Voluntary Action Fund (VAF) has secured £200,000 in 2012/13 from the Scottish Government to distribute in small grants of up to £1,000 to community groups and voluntary organisations with annual incomes under £25,000. Read more

Third Sector Transformation Fund for Glasgow

Awards for All grants to east end organisations

Awards for All is the National Lottery’s small grants scheme which gives out grants of between £500 to £10,000 that make a big difference across Scotland. The programme has just announced grants totalling £2,693,981 to 381 organisations across the country. Read more

Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland

Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland awards one-off grants to charities which are clearly focused on improving the quality of life for people who are disadvantaged or at risk of becoming disadvantaged. Read more

Bank of Scotland Foundation

The Foundation's Small Grants Programme accepts applications up to and including £20,000 from charities registered in Scotland. Read more

Comic Relief - Local Communities

Comic Relief has made a longstanding pledge to fund disadvantaged communities and is providing one-off grants of up to £10,000 to enable groups to create strong, thriving communities. This could involve helping people of all ages feel more included in their community, providing more accessible services, or supporting people to build new skills. Comic Relief also want to make sure that communities are equipped to respond to challenging economic, social and cultural trends. Read more


SPORTSMATCH is an award scheme that supports grass roots sport projects that encourage participation at community level, especially youth groups. In Scotland, SPORTSMATCH is funded by the Scottish Government and administered by sportscotland. Read more

Help a Heart Grants

Grants of between £300 and £2,000 are available for voluntary and community groups that want to make a real difference to people living with a heart condition, or those who are at high risk of heart disease. Read more

Big Lottery Fund – Community Spaces Scotland

Community Spaces Scotland is a £9 million fund to bring communities together around a space or place that matters to them, helping those spaces and places to be better used, and the people in their communities to become healthier, happier and more active. A community space can be both indoor and outdoor spaces including allotments, play areas and community gardens as well as village halls and community centres. Read more

Big Lottery Fund - Young Start

Young Start is a new grants programme run by the Big Lottery Fund in Scotland to distribute money from dormant bank accounts. Nearly £9 million is available in year one. Read more

Moffat Trust

The Trustees will only consider applications from charities in Scotland for work carried out in Scotland. The major categories supported are care, children / young people, community, education / training and sport / art.
